" Like you, we are disappointed by Sony’s decision given the considerable time and effort we have put into this project, and the amount of time our fans have waited for mod support to arrive. The company makes it clear that there is nothing they can do unless Sony changes its mind. "After months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition." In a short but pointed post on the official site, Bethesda made it clear that Sony was at fault. Now, it looks like the delay has become a roadblock and mods will not be coming. The holdup has been negotiatons with Sony on the issue. The upcoming Skyrim Special Edition was also supposed to add the feature. Fallout 4 fans who play on PS4 have been eagerly awaiting mod support for the games, something Bethesda has already released on PC and Xbox One.
